Scope of work
The process includes removal of the inner door panel, disconnection of speaker and switch harnesses, extraction of broken regulator clips, and thorough vacuuming of glass from the door cavity — an important step, as residual shards can produce rattling for months. New tempered glass, cut to the vehicle's VIN specifications, is installed and seated in the regulator. We test operation in both manual and automatic modes and reset the express-up calibration if required by the vehicle.
Interior cleanup included
Tempered side glass fractures into thousands of small cubes that settle into every interior crevice, including seat tracks, cup holders, and dashboard gaps. We vacuum all seating surfaces, clean door pockets, and inspect the trunk area if the rear window was affected. The interior is restored to a safe, drivable condition. Please note that while we remove all glass fragments, the service does not include a full detailing.
Vent glass, quarter glass, and fixed panes
Small fixed panes — such as vent glass behind the rear door, quarter glass in the C-pillar, and triangular panels near the side mirror — are bonded with urethane rather than clipped into a regulator. These installations require a longer cure time before the vehicle can be driven. Our technicians carry urethane and primer kits on every service vehicle, ensuring completion in a single visit.
