Static and dynamic calibration
Static calibration is performed in a controlled environment with the vehicle positioned at manufacturer-specified distances and heights from calibration targets. Dynamic calibration is conducted during a road drive at prescribed speeds while a diagnostic scan tool communicates with the camera to confirm accurate tracking of lane markings and traffic. Many modern vehicles require both procedures, performed sequentially. We maintain the targets, scan tools, and OEM procedures for all major manufacturers.
Independent calibration capability
Calibration equipment was historically restricted to dealership service departments, but that is no longer the case. We utilize the same Bosch, Autel, and Hella Gutmann platforms employed by dealers, with current OEM software subscriptions. Performing calibration at the same location as the windshield installation eliminates the need for a second appointment, an additional drive, and the risk of operating an uncalibrated vehicle between visits.
Consequences of skipping calibration
In the best-case scenario, the vehicle displays a system fault and disables the affected features until calibration is completed. In the worst case, the system remains active but misaligned, with failure occurring precisely when the system is needed most. We do not return any 2018 or newer vehicle without a clean calibration report. We recommend retaining this documentation with your insurance records.
Any shop offering windshield replacement for 2018 or newer vehicles without including ADAS recalibration is not providing complete service. We perform both procedures during the same visit. Contact us to schedule.
